PA CattleWomen are “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” for breast cancer awareness

October 5, 2009

Pennsylvania CattleWomen This past weekend at KILE (Keystone International Livestock Exposition) the newly incorporated Pennsylvania CattleWomen (PCW Inc.) raised a little over $200o for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This money was raised by the selling of “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” Shirts. These shirts featured a cow with a ribbon “brand” on its rear in front of the breast cancer ribbon and the words “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” above the breast cancer ribbon. Through out KILE one could see many individuals wearing these shirts. I wore my pink Polo on friday and my pink T-Shirt on Saturday. The PCW ladies also raffled off a basket full of “pink” items. On Sunday during the selection of the Supreme Female Champion a check for $2045 was presented to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. This was an awesome cause for the PCW women to raise awareness about. If you are interested in checking out the shirts or PCW visit our website at http://pacattlewomen.org/index.html
